The Most Holy Trinity
FROM THE PASTOR
Dear St. Charles Parishioners,
The feast of Pentecost focused on the unity we experience in the spirit.
"Are not these men Galileans? Yet we each hear them speaking of the
mighty works of God in our own language." As a church we are called
to minister to a multi-cultural community. The unity we achieve is not
dependent on everybody becoming alike or even speaking the same language.
We are growing in our sensitivity to the various cultural identities
and the unique gifts offered by different language groups. At the same
time we wish to offer immigrants the opportunity to learn English. We
are hoping to resurrect ESL (English as a Second Language) at St. Charles
on Sunday afternoons, working with Hogar Hispano of our diocese. If
you are willing to assist with this project, you may call Joann Duggan
at the office 703-527-5500.
Feel the Spirit,

Gerry Creedon
