4th Sunday of Lent
FROM OUR PASTOR
Dear St. Charles Parishioners,
Lent originally was a time of retreat
when the whole community joined the catechumens (those preparing for
baptism) in a time of intensive prayer as they readied themselves for
the Easter sacraments. It is a season of spiritual renewal and rebirth.
Let these days be a time of grace and rededication.
This weekend we welcome Fr. Kevin Nadolski
to celebrate with us on and to lead our three-evening
mission. Please join us on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evenings from
7:30-8:30pm.
Through our pledges to the Bishop's
Lenten Appeal next weekend, March 28/29, we continue the discipline
of almsgiving. Our generosity brings the church's support to the needy
and marginalized in our region.
May Our Centennial year
bring us closer to the original spirit of St Charles.
