Progress on Our Goals and Progress on Parish Wish List
also: overall parish goals

We're the volunteers who help bring you the St. Charles parish web site. By visiting this site, you've already found out some of what we do. If you feel called to help us out then please email us webteam@stcharleschurch.org (which is how we keep in touch in between meetings) and come to the next meeting! You can volunteer to update or create a web page on a one-time basis or as needed. We'll match you up with your area of interest (such as social justice, prayer, youth) if you'd like or we can let you know what's available on our to-do list.

At our March 14 meeting, we discussed potential new goals for the parish year that starts in July. We are mapping each of these goals to the parish mission statement.

"St. Charles Borromeo Parish, in the Diocese of Arlington, is a community of people with various cultural backgrounds united as a family of faith empowered by Christ. We call on all to offer their unique gifts in building the Reign of God's love, as we proclaim the word of God, celebrate the Sacraments, and promote education, hospitality, justice and service."

Top two priorities:
"Sacraments" - develop and deepen the content available for each of the seven sacraments

"Service" - conduct open-ended interviews with at least five website users from each Mass to determine their needs on the website

Other priorities:

"Various cultures" - further develop the San Carlos site
- more volunteers; relevant local content based on parishioner input

"Faith" - develop the Praise & Worship section
- expand and improve overall faith content

"Promote" - revisit Web Team mission and audiences

"Unique gifts" - support a more robust volunteer recruitment process in coordination with the parish's main contacts in this area
- Track and report on effectiveness of e-newsletter; make information available more cohesively
