Neighborhood F Picnic - Sunday, July 30, 2000
Half-way into out annual picnic, we were "entertained" by a terrific thunderstorm and downpour. Not to worry -- as the pictures below show, we were kept neat and dry under our Picnic Shelter at Lubber Run Park in Arlington. Less than 30 minutes later, the storm had passed and the sun came out again. However, by that time, nearby storm drains had emptied themselves upstream into Lubber Run (the creek next to our shelter), and the creek banks could barely hold the raging waters. Meanwhile, we enjoyed our watermelon and pizza and had our faces painted.
