Neighborhood C

Ministy Activities: Establishing neighborhood street coordinators who will act as "points of contact" to notify other neighbors of needs such as:

1. transportation to Mass and other parish functions;
2. visits to those parishioners who are unable to leave their homes because of illness or age;
3. prayer circle, as requests are made;
4. grocery shopping and/or cooking for families with emergency assistance needs;
5. bereavement support, such as preparing food for family reception after funeral, babysitting, meeting out of town folks coming for funeral services, etc.
6. Any other support, as requests can vary.  For example - transportation to and from hospital for surgery, etc.

Volunteer opportunities: Street coordinators, neighbors who could assist with any of the areas listed above, and people to help with the planning details of our quarterly neighborhood functions, for example; Open Houses, Lenten Mass, and picnic.

Time commitment: We can use whatever time you can give us as needs arise.  Nothing on a regularly scheduled basis at present. For street coordinators not a large commitment, no meetings.
