Religious Education Options (Pre-School to Grade 6)

  • Grade Based Catechesis:  Children in Kindergarten through Sixth grade study by level using the Sadlier Religion We Believe series. The preschool class’ catechesis is drawn from Loyola Press God Made Everything. Classes meet Sunday mornings and afternoons.
  • Atrium I:  Children aged 3-6 gather weekly in a prepared environment called the “Atrium” to reflect on Scripture and nomenclature in light of their unique relationship with Jesus, the Good Shepherd.
  • Atrium II:  Children aged 6-9 gather weekly in the “Atrium” to look at moral parables, parables about prayer and to synthesize the great liturgical feasts. The pivotal parable for this level is The True Vine.
  • Liturgy of the Word with Children:  During the 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. Masses, children gather in the Upper Room to read and talk about the Sunday Scriptures. Children are dismissed at the beginning of Mass and return for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
