Join Fr. David and fellow parishioners on a walking pilgrimage to a 1,000 year old Marian shine in the lower alps of Austria known as the Via Sacra. Before the fall of the Iron Curtain, over 1 million pilgrims would travel on foot to Mariezell. We will begin at the Cathedral of St. Stephen in Vienna and walk an average of 17 miles a day for five days. Each day, we will have communal Mass, evening prayer, and dinner. You can walk at your own pace as you will have ample time to reach each day's destination. You will make your own reservations and book your own airfare. You are free to extend your trip either before or after the parish pilgrimage. Once the group is established, Fr. David will send out a detailed itinerary and make a personalized guidebook available.
