REGISTER, GIVE, SERVE, GATHER

Our parish mission is accomplished–we do the great things described in the full report provided above- thanks to your generous financial and volunteer support, and to our unity in fellowship.  Consider how your financial gifts, service time, and fellowship gatherings contribute to our unity in charity.  Then please take the time to do the following four things:

(1) REGISTER–OR UPDATE YOUR REGISTRATION

Our ParishStaq portal is the best way to stay connected and to receive the customized information you need. If you are already a registered parishioner, please review and update your profile for accuracy. New to St Charles? Please review the map of parish boundaries and take the time to register if you live within the boundaries.

See the boundary map here: https://www.stcharleschurch.org/register

(2)  GIVE–OR UPDATE YOUR REGULAR GIFT

Giving to your parish offertory collections is a wonderful, tangible expression of your gratitude to God for his many blessings, of your love for others, and of your desire to support the mission of our parish.  I ask you, please, to take time prayerfully to consider how you can best respond to God’s love for you by committing to a regular, sacrificial, financial gift to our offertory collections.

Set up new gifts here: https://pushpay.com/g/stcharleschurch

Additionally, view and manage your giving history here: https://stcharles.ccbchurch.com/give_detail.php

(3) SERVE–OR KEEP SERVING FAITHFULLY

Our ability to proclaim, to celebrate, and to live the Gospel is directly affected by what you do:  the more we volunteer, and the more time we give, the more we can grow the Church in the heart of Arlington. There are many ways you can serve your parish and you can explore all of them online, but I especially ask you prayerfully to consider serving in one of these ways:

  • Sacred Liturgy and Music - Open positions include Liturgical Ministers, Choir & Schola Members, Altar Servers, & more!

  • Parish Charities and Outreach - Haiti Committee, Dinner for All, Jail Ministry, & plenty others!

  • Parish Leadership - Small Group Leaders, Bible Study Leaders, WorkCamp Contractors & Chaperones, etc. See the list here!

  • Operations - Counting Ministry, Building Maintenance, Audio-Visual team, & others!

The links to these and other service opportunities are here: https://www.stcharleschurch.org/volunteer

(4) GATHER–OR CONTINUE IN FELLOWSHIP

Our Small Communities of Faith meet regularly to enable members to support one another as they grow together in faith, living the four pillars of Christian discipleship:  praying, learning, celebrating, and sharing the Christian life.

Consider filling out an interest form so that we can connect you with groups you are interested in learning more about:  https://stcharles.ccbchurch.com/goto/forms/60/responses/new

  • Small Groups.  We have multiple configurations for small group support for men and women at St. Charles. We currently have more than ten groups that meet various times and places across the week including a Grief Share support group.

  • Bible Studies.  Bible studies on various study topics occur throughout the year. Currently we have options for Tuesday Evenings (Unlocking the Mysteries of the Bible & Psalms) and a Friday morning study focused on preparing for the Sunday Mass readings.

  • Men’s Group. Borromeo Brothers meets weekly on Saturday mornings at 7:30 in Room 103 in the parish center. Men of all ages are welcome for fellowship, food and discussion about living out our vocation as Christian men. There is a zoom option available as well.

  • Women’s Group. Walking with Purpose is a Catholic Women’s Bible study that meets on Tuesday evenings from 7:15-9:00 PM in Benedict Hall. Topics change annually. This year’s session on Touching the Divine runs for 22 weeks from Oct. 8 through May.

  • Couples’ Groups. Teams of Our Lady is an international lay movement in the Catholic Church designed to enrich marriage spirituality and make good marriages better! St. Charles currently hosts three teams!
